We walked the famous Fisherman's Wharf, which was ok the first day, but much finer the morning we left the city. The rain chased everyone away, so Caleb and I had it mostly to ourselves. We ambled through the cannery and Ghiridelli's, picked up some freshly baked sourdough and chocolate for the family back home, and ate brunch at the crab shack.
We refer to our dinner boat trip around the bay as "the booze cruise." Caleb and I had a really hard time finding a pitcher of ice water, but still enjoyed seeing the city at night and cruising around Alcatraz, which is a pretty creepy place. We ran into fellow Weber High alums Lori Lundell and Ammon Fawson, also conferencing in the city. Good people.

We lucked out with tickets to see the Yankees play in Oakland. We didn't luck out with the tipsy angry man who sat in front of us. We did luck out with the great couple who sat next to us and the A's win at home in the bottom of the 11th.

We kept smelling petroleum at the ball park and finally realized it was the jacket I purchased for cheap on a corner at the wharf when San Francisco turned out to be much colder than expected. A fun, if fragrant, last evening. So nice to take a trip together.

Yay welcome to the world of bloggin'. It's official: you've crossed over to the dark side. :) You guys look gorgeous, as always, glad you had some quality couple time in a fabulous city I must add....
Look at Kate Hale, all straight-haired and grown up! Fun that we've found each other through former Weber alums. The blog world is weird that way. Drop me a line and let me know what you are up to. kim.vause@gmail.com
P.S. Did I mention you have very cute girls!
