So this is yesterday outside our front porch. Caleb is 6'3.

This is Caleb yesterday standing on the snow bank shoveling off our ROOF, my brother is down on our sidewalk where the snow is over his head.

And this is today, another 2 feet of snow and it's still coming down. (Church is canceled and the boys are out rescuing people this morning.)

Okay now that is a lot of snow...is that usual for Huntsville? Great for a snow cave!
we haven't had this much snow since i was 6 or 7, usually it's more like 2 feet. let's hear it for global warming!
my in-laws were telling me about that today. they somehow broke free and came down for reagan's blessing. cccccraziness. we were gonna see if you guys wanted to come down for the super bowl tonight..but i'm assuming that's a no. :)
so, yah, we'll just plan on seeing you guys in april. :)
HOLY SMOKES!!! I can't believe that! Well, I can because like you, I have lived there and experienced it. I love the Valley!! And miss it at times.
Wow! Do you guys live in the "country" or is that what it looks like in town?
Hi Kate! I've been blog stalking you via various blogs for a bit now. Your little family is so darling!
hey ashlee! i'd love to check out your blog if you want to invite me! kate.hale.wilson@gmail.com
Will the craziness ever stop?! At least your heating bill will be low due to the fact that you can't even see out your windows! Pray for a slow runoff this year.
I hear you! I can't believe how much snow there is! Man I'm getting tired of it! I'm ready to move back to California...now if only I could take all of you back with me! ;)
It seems so surreal, yesterday I had to turn my air conditioner on because it was over 80 degrees in the house! I think we're in for a bit of an environmental shock next week when we return to the deep.
Hey there beautiful! Seeing all the snow takes me back to my early years in Huntsville. I can't believe it's still coming down like that. Totally crazy! I remember we used to jump off my brother's balcony into the snow piles but it's been a long time since a winter like that. Good that you have plenty of hot cocoa to keep you warm.
This is so fun... and wet... and cold... yesterday in sunday school someone said: Alright, who prayed for the moisture?
Then later in the hall, "oh it was you that didn't pay your tithing and you're the reason the snow didn't stop..." Reply: "Gosh, if I would have known that, I would have mailed my tithing earlier this week! "
I just want two feet in one night so I can have a snow day from school/work!
Happy digging!
Oh, at least we know we did a good job with our roof this summer!
Kate! It is insane isn't it?! Zach's dad was saying his snow blower broke! What bad timing! I haven't been up since the last four storms hit and from the look of the pics I am kinda glad! I bet you can't get in their front door! Way to document the craziness!
Okay so how did you change your blog roll to do that?! Man, that would be nice!
I'm a little scared for you kate...that's a little creepy. (the window pic) I really hope you don't have a cave in or something! it's gotta stop sometime right?
WHY!!! I love the pics and I love getting ridiculous amounts of it because it makes winter fun! I wish all the snow would've been around for my last Utah winter before coming to michigan.:) Have fun!!
Hey Kate -
email me that code for drop downs, please!

wow! thank heaven for food storage, right?!?!? big drifts like that remind me of our days at valley el. where we would make foot slides down the huge piles of snow. those were some of my favorite memories of recess. the slides got so icy and slick - it was such a rush for me! :)
I wish we could take some of that snow off your hands!:)
