Due to my current self-help project, I've developed calorie awareness. It's no kind of life. Nonetheless, I will persevere. I have found that this awareness and the result (delicious foodstuffs deprivation) is causing me to have recurring daydreams. Sometimes I float away on a heaping mashed potato cloud. Other times I plunge face first into a pile of whipped cream.
Recently my nights became involved. Last night I dreamed about a perfect cake. It was fluffy and raspberry-y and four layers high with the smoothest pink buttercream frosting. I could actually taste it-and it was sheer bliss. I'm salivating just typing this.
So when I woke up I decided to give my psyche a vacation today.
It was a very fine vacation:
Strawberry Napoleon. Ahhhhh.

I made it just like the recipe on the frozen puff pastry box, except I cut them into serving size before baking, which made assembly a cinch.
Really, you should make these tomorrow. I'm serious. Do it. You won't be sorry.
Now I'm all ready to saddle up again. Yee haw! Wish me luck.

I hate having to give up desserts for weight loss. Good for you for mostly doing it.
The pastry sounds good, but the "puff" - not so much.
oh yes, good luck. Those look absolutely divine. I just don't really believe in completely cutting out treats and yummy things. They are a necessary part of life.
Good luck. If I could make such yummy things, I don't think I'd be very strong.

How are your photographs so gorgeous? Did you take a class? If so, will you teach me? Do you have a super nice camera? If so, I'll have to cry and try to be satisfied with my cheap one.
