I Live The Mommy Life

And this week the mommy life included taking my daughters to the water stairs and watching them splash away to their little hearts' content.
Even this daughter. Though most of her splashing consisted of wiping her spit bubbles around with her tiny fists.
The mommy life is a good life. It may be better than my original life. I think watching my children be happy is sweeter than being happy myself. Or maybe now it's the same thing.

Love those shots of the girls. Four wonderful girls in one family...it doesn't get much better than that!

Water stairs? What? They don't make those here apparently. I want some.

What a great water-stairs thing! I so want to sit and sit in that water today. Cute girlies.

How could you NOT be happy looking at those three perfect littles? Lucky, lucky mama :).

AND...I believe we are kindred spirits, here is why: Peace Like A River is my all-time favorite book--this is the book I always recommend. Read the first in the series of Ladies #1 Detective Agency and plan on reading the rest (I can't get over the fact right now that she actually got married), read The Glass Castle last summer and totally agree with your sentiments-it is amazing what the human spirit can endure and lift itself out of. Left to Tell, Infidel and Endurance are now on my 'to-do' list. Thanks for the recommendations. I will whole heartedly trust your recs because of the fact that we are destined to be friends.

This post made me cry. I long to live the mommy life, but I don't know if I'll ever have that opportunity.

I'm a first-time commenter. I'm sorry I stalked so long without telling you how much I appreciate how you capture motherhood.

I don't remember how I found your blog, but I took some french classes at WSU with your husband... years ago!

Thank you for sharing what it's like to be a mother.
