Top 2 reasons I am an awesome mom:
1) I let her stand in the tub.
2) I thought she looked so cute I flipped on the video camera and caught the hand-slip-face-smash on tape. Sorry, the graphic footage won't be airing on this family-friendly station.
You can't coach this kind of parenting, people. I really should win some sort of award.

Poor Olivia, and poor Kate.
Hmm, that reminds me of another little girl who got a black eye. . .
But what beautiful eyes she has, anyway.
you are the best mom i know, girl. little O. wears that shiner like a pro! :)
I've always wanted a black eye. Weird, right? Poor little O. I'm sure mom and babe both shed tears.
oh sad. but she's an awfully cute shiner. :)
The kids in my house that got black eyes, broken bones, stitches and the like were - CALEB and my daughter Wendy- It is only fair that the bumps and bruises gene get passed to HIS daughter....
them bathtub rims is the woist. they'll get you every time. i'm glad you decided to keep it family friendly although it sounds like you got some good footage.
i think that happens once in every kid's life, right? at least it has in my kid's life. no bad mom awards for you, ever. and to be completely honest here: her beautiful eyes distracted me so much that i totally didn't notice the shiner until i started reading your post. cross my heart.
yowchi, I'm sure she got tons of kisses so it must feel all better!
Nice try with the whole blaming yourself thing--that's not going to sell to a bunch of seasoned mothers of kids with bruises, chipped teeth, and broken appendages.
We all think you're wonderful. If you didn't have any injuries ever then we would start thinking you were weird.
Oh sad! Poor thing. Don't worry, you are still an amazing Mom, you really should win an award!
How is it possible to for one to look so beautiful with a black eye?!? And really? We all have dirty little secrets about why we should win mother of the year. :) You're amazing and don't you forget it!
