Perhaps you've not met our little Meanie Face? Well, I'm afraid that window of opportunity is now closed as she was recently found expired in her cage.
I think being a cantankerous wretch shortened her life span.
Though no tears were shed, the girls insisted on a respectful funeral. We buried her in a soup box under our pine tree, sprinkled blossoms over the spot. . .

. . .and spoke some words in memory-
Malan: I miss her pretty fur.
Jane: I miss how much I used to wish she was nice.
Now when the girls mention that they want another pet, I tell them to rub Olivia's head and that seems to temper the desire. Plus, she usually tries to bite them after a while, so she's filling the void left by Meanie Face's passing quite nicely.

Oh Meanie Face... I love these stories! Perhaps a gold fish is in order... ? ;)
R~
I miss that sassy Jane. And that sweet Malan. And that gorgeous Olivia. Tear. Sigh.
Sorry to hear of your loss...hee hee. Jane cracks me up
Yeah, we keep reminding our kids of fiascos past whenever they want another pet.
And the kids in my house will bite if you rub their heads long enough, too.
At least Meanie Face isn't at large at ankle-biting level.
What a lovely funeral.
heh heh. i love your kids
hahahaa :) aaaaand i'm still laughing! Olivia's hair is quite curly these days! Oh-so gorgeous!
Jane never ceases to make me laugh! Love it!
Lovely details about your girls. I bet they are so excited about another little sister.
I love that you tell them to pet their sister. My youngest has taken to crawling around and barking high pitched barks. I just tell the kids she can be their sister and their puppy and it pretty much makes everyone happy! Sorry the hamster thing didn't work out. Its probably good that no one was TOOOOO upset about the loss.
haaaaa. i miss how much i wish she was nice. i love it. oh man.... i love your funniness.
RIP, Meanie Face. I'm so glad you bit onto the cage and stared my sister in the eyes so I could laugh so hard that day, that blessed blog day. Happy no pet having for a while!
Oh dear, poor meanie face! Well, if her little soul was so ferocious maybe it was time to go. Sounds like it was a touching funeral. I loved the responses!!
Bye Meanie Face. May you enjoy being a mean hamster-angel! I love Jane's comment. Funny little girl.
love it!
Hilarious! The girls are as sweet as meanie was not.
