So Emme is back, by popular demand.
Pardon the hiatus. Emme has had a full schedule, consisting of:
Getting less squishy-
Getting even more less squishy (please notice double chin)-

Emme has been a pure delight thus far. Slept six hours straight three nights last week, and she is ridiculously pleasant when she's awake.
Good thing. Because I suddenly feel like I have a LOT of children. I may have almost forgotten her in her car seat at old navy when moving from the infant's section to the girl's section with my other 3 girls in tow. Mom, I hereby forgive you for the time I got left at Surf 'n Swim for half an hour when I was 7. I totally get it. And what was I thinking taking all 4 girls shopping with me? Not again until they're 20.
Just a few gems from the ladies lately:
While working on Malan's homework-
Malan: "You don't know about math problems, Jane."
Jane: "What's a math problem?"
Malan: "Like, if you don't know what 4 plus 5 is, then you have a math problem."
Jane at our FHE about spirit prison/paradise: "Well, I just hope I get a pretty dress. I don't want to wear the stripes. You know, the black and white stripes?"
Olivia, feeling a little displaced by new sister, is now alerting us to her need for attention by, multiple times daily, spinning rapidly in circles while shouting: "I'm funny! I'm funny! I'm funny!" until she falls down and we all laugh and applaud. Very mature, I think.
Caleb and I are doing fine. So busy. Hope to come up for air soon.

thank you thank you she is gorgeous. It was great to talk to you
She is a sweetheart! Love the pictures.
So glad to see more picts!! She's perfectly lovely! I'm impressed that you would even try such a shopping adventure!
I'm STILL laughing about having a "math problem". I so get that, little M. I SO get that.
And baby E...she's just scrumptious. And you, well you are wonder woman.
Oh, Kate.. she's just beautiful and I think she looks like Ms. O. Ms O and Ms E look just like their Daddy.
My friend left her baby behind for 20 minutes as well... she was balancing her other two daughters and felt horrible for days. Turns our we're all human, eh?
I laughed out loud at your girls math problems and phobia of stripes. I love hearing your updates!! Joy, comedy and beauty!
R~
Such a delightful post. So happy to hear things are going so well and your home is so full of laughter and love.
So thrilled to see a Mango Tree update! Those funnies are the best I've heard in a long while! Really miss you guys.
oh yay! more pictures. she's darling.
i love all your girls. just keep swimming, right? ;)
ha hahhaaa i love your funny kids. last time i saw olivia she was just saying goo and ga. now she says "i'm funny, i'm funny, i'm funny." ??? wow. i wish i could see them her in action. and malan with her sophisticated math humor. and jane with her ulterior motives for wanting to get to heaven. oh man. and i really like emme. what a wonderful baby. with totally stylin hair. and i can't believe you took all the kids shopping. you have TWICE as many kids as me and i feel overwhelmed a lot. and never go to old navy. wow. busy times. oh and i wanted to tell you that i finished "the glass castle" the other day and LOVED it. thank you for the recommendation. (now that i finally got around to reading it) i need to call you sometime and have a mini book club discussion. so many things i want to know your opinion on. love you lots.
I was waiting for a new post! Yay for this one. She's darling - what a pretty little mouth and big eyes and darling nose. Hooray for pleasant babies. And hooray for online shopping. Do you have any grocery delivery services there? Young moms need as much as elderly folks, don't you think? Funny girls. I think Jane will get a dress - and math, eventually. Best wishes with your lots and lots of kids.
She is gorgeous, Kate! I love the stripes comment. So clever. :)
This made my day. The week has just begun but I'm guessing this is also a contender for making my week as well :)
