Not much going on. Just trying to catch up on the laundry/cleaning/personal hygiene that fell by the wayside during the flu. (Wow, that is one riveting post introduction. Are you still reading this?)
Also, I'm lacking motivation to exist much in the world wide web right now. Such a lot calling for my attention in the real world that I'm only finding time for blogging if I stay up too late, and that kinda makes me grumpy. I sure do love the people and happy memories we have here, just needing some rekindled passion for maintaining this little space. Maybe I'll work on a quick Christmas post soon. Until then, here is an idea for what to do with your leftover wrapping paper tubes:

I'm so sorry you got sick. The flu is the absolute worst. Coming out of it do you almost feel surprised to still be alive? I got the flu once, after coming back to Utah from helping Katie with newborn Luke. It completely wiped me out, and for a while I couldn't even speak (which was a blessing for my over-nagged children and husband.) At the end I got huge boils and thought it was ironic when I came across my Bible--abandoned during the illness--left open to the book of Job.
I'm so glad you are over that nasty flu. Burton got a kick out of our empty wrapping paper tubes this year too. Your girls have one silly dad who probably more than makes up for having no brothers - the look on his face in the top pic is all too familiar ;)
The real world is often demanding isn't it? My mother in law has been giving me a hard time that I only blog once a month anymore... but really, there's a lot to be done these days! I can totally relate! But I love it when you post, so I'll be here when you do have a moment to pop on!
I've been sick too and my goodness! To say I was slower than molasses has been an understatement! Glad you're feeling better and I sure hope the catch up works for you...and that you take it slow. I've found the sickness tries to creep back up on my when I do too much. Sure think you're great! Love the tube wars! We enjoyed those as well. After a while I had to fight the urge to hide them though. :)
Tube wars! Bawahaaha! The flu.. No laughing matter and so glad your on the sunnier side of it. Oh, life away from the blog... So many pros and cons. I sit down to write the latest, but its all just exactly what I wrote in my last post. Enjoy a lil'break.
Heart you-heart you.
Hi. I like your family and these tube wars are precisely what I like about you. I drove by tonight and your house just looked so cozy and bright and I thought - I love those guys. Caleb is a fun dad. Too bad Jane doesn't know what his laugh sounds like :)
Tube wars at my house means fighting about what to watch on TV. You guys are doing it right.
I'm so sorry you were so sick. Stress always makes a person vulnerable. Residency sounds like torture.
I am so excited to see you guys in Florida.
