Lake House One

I've been neglectful. I can't really excuse myself, I just didn't feel much like writing.
But I'm willing to move on if you are.

Katie and Joey once again treated us to a wonderful several days away at the lake, this year at Heber Springs, Arkansas. A little boating, a little skiing, a little hiking, some late-into-the night chats with kinfolk. Bonus: My sister Victoria, her husband Michael and the irresistible wee Sarah joined us. And best of all, four straight days and nights with Caleb around. Goodness that made me happy. Here is the first of two lake house photo essays:

(Let's hear a "Well done Emme" on the socks with sandals. I'm afraid packing was a bit of a rush job.)

(Sorry about the tree branch on your face, Mike! Not the best positioning of the camera for the timer shot. But look, we're all there.)

 Lake, we love you.

I'M PRETTY SURE I AM LOOKING BACK IN TIME! Your daughters look just like you! especially when we first moved into the Huntsville ward, you were about the age of your middle daughter, so cute, you have a lovely family.

I love the picture of Emme and Jane on the hike! And the one of of Luke and his girl cousins at the lookout. His face is like "I love these cuzzies!" And the last one of all the blue sky. Great pics. But I remember so many that weren't on here. What about all the cliff jumping ones? Are you doing another post or can I borrow those for my lake post? It was so fun. I love the group shot. Cause I love those people so much that make up that group. And what a bunch of cute kids!

I know what you mean about not feeling like writing. No apples for this week yet...
I have been thinking about you though and how you've been holding up.
Looks like the Lake was wonderful. Glad to hear it.
