While Grandma Wilson was here helping, the girls were out of school for a couple days because of an ice storm, and the next week we totally lucked out with a major snow storm! Memphis doesn't have plows or salt trucks, so when it snows we just have to wait for a warm spell to come along and thaw us out. School was closed for 7 days total, so with brand new Oscar here, I didn't have to worry about getting the girls up and ready for school. That was wonderful! We just hunkered down with our mugs of hot cocoa, and of course the girls went out to play in the snow.
Caleb had arranged a vacation week, which was perfect timing, and he took the girls out to make a killer igloo in the back yard.
Hooray for snow days!!
