The school plans Red Ribbon Week to coincide so that the kids can have more dress up days. Here are my darling girls borrowing some of my clothes from elementary school (just kidding) for their 80's day.
Malan was a modern Cheshire cat for Disney/superhero day, and Olivia and Jane got themselves gussied up as "America Girl" and "Halloween Girl." Emme chose to be an adorable witch for her preschool party.
The main event of course is always the ward Trunk or Treat. My good friend Holly from the Bartlett First Ward and I were in charge of this, and combined both wards for a kind of massive but totally awesome night of chili eating, socializing, and major candy collecting. We were able to get some pictures of the girls all done up before we left. I know I'm going to love looking back on these little people in character someday and remembering what they chose to be.
Queen Emmeboo Bee. I loved watching her little antennae bop around all night, because Emme always boop-bops when she walks.
Lady Jane, the lesser known fourth Muskateer! I love that Jane chose this! A strong, fiesty, fabulous character to match her own personality.
Olivia, the goddess of making serious faces in pictures. She was so funny and told me she had to pose seriously because the Greek Goddesses were, "NOT fun, mom!" But then she couldn't help herself. Too hard to contain her spunk tank.
The elusive Oskypillar! We managed to capture this guy for a few quick photos before he crawled away into the grass. Don't eat the brown leaves, Osky! Too crunchy.
Here we are all together at the ward party. Caleb came as a Doctor this year, which suited him well. Ok, so he barely made it in time from work and I was SO glad to see him walk in. He set right to work helping me finish setting up. Life is so good when he's around. Had to include a picture of the Hales in their incredible Harry Potter costumes! They do it up right every year!
More us. I borrowed the gorgeous butterfly wings from Katie, who got them from our friend Lindsay who has moved away. They are so neat!
And one of our good friends the Johnstons, who won the family costume award. Their van was also decked out. So awesome! (I stole this picture from Becca's blog.)
Malan with her sweet bestie Emma Owen, and Olivia gathering pounds of candy, and feeling happy about it.
My good friend Alicia Wood looking so awesome as Rosie the Riveter, I had to snap a picture, and Emme feeling protective of her loot.
Another Halloween in the books! And it was a good one.

Yaaaayyy!! I love this. I really especially love the individual pictures you got of your kids and how well it captures their personalities. It's fun to see those personalities come through even more as they get to create a character all of their own. And Oskypillar! Oh what a sweet boy he is! And I'm with you on that Halloween stuff - It's out of control! I think I wrote about that last Halloween. But the kids sure don't seem to mind having endless parties and candy! :)
Is he really crawling?? Goodness!! Love all these Picts Kate! Your little beauties are getting so tall!
So cute! Meredith wants to see a picture of osky's mobile hanging above his bed.
