The Perks

Motherhood has many benefits. Some things I enjoy: having my gallies climb in bed with us in the morning, daily giggle fests with a three year old, and hearing Jane babble away all day. Delightful! Other perks include: getting my couch decorated.

And catching the obvious perpetrator. (It washed off both couch the and the girl. Yay!)

And on a rather unrelated note . . . it's holiday season! And I am all sorts of excited. Today I picked fabrics for a few upcoming projects: little boy hats . . .

Little girl ponchos . . .

Christmas skirts for my main babes . . .

And (yay!) with my birthday money I bought oodles of ribbon for card making, picture hanging, etc.

Then i used some of my new ribbon to make these while Caleb and I were watching Smallville.
Season 5 . . . tragic.

I'm going to be a busy little bee. I just love having a creative outlet. It's so nice to make something that stays made, unlike my bed, the dishes, Malan's hair . . .

Look at you being all crafty-like. Excellent! We should have a card-making party sometime!

It's a good thing Jane is the cutest ever... :)

Oh I would love to be able to just be at home and do crafty little things!! Forget this whole working 8-5 stuff...it's for the birds :) How fun though! Once Dave quits crackin the whip on me working(totally kidding btw), and lets me be at home and have babies, I will be all over that stuff! You are so creative!!!

Wow! I am in a card making group and I never make anything as cute as you. Way to go Miss Unique. I love the poncho/hat/dress materials. I could just die in a fabric store. Nate has to go with me as the voice of reason or else I get into BIG trouble!

Oh and the marker thing...Did you have any homemade remedies to clean it up? Katelyn uses the color wonder markers to help prevent that right there. Still she manages to get pen and pencil and crayon all over. I have found the clorox wipes (no bleach) work really well for those and of course the magic eraser for walls.

I love your fabric! You'll have to post some pictures of your finished products. I'm sure they'll be amazing!
