Did you Know . . .

I considered myself tagged in the get to know you post challenge.

I'm a rampant cheek biter. And not just when I'm nervous. Almost any time I'm not eating or talking. So if you catch me making a weird face, that's what's up.

I like to make cakes. Well, not while I'm doing it, but the finished product is usually fun. This is true with several of my "creative" projects. Because I'm not super patient, the process of making things sometimes drives me crazy, but being pleased with how things turn out makes me forget that and do it again. That's a little weird.

I'm not a people person, but I want to be. Thinking about going out to lunch with friends makes my heart rate jump and I hyperventilate a little. But I also realize I have a huge need to be around others and I really enjoy myself once I get through the door. So it's something I'm working on.

I was engaged to someone other than my husband. No fun, but there's nothing like a bad relationship to change you and help you appreciate a really good thing when you find it.

While working as a legal assistant I spent a good amount of time looking at court dockets. I was surprised one day to find my own name listed with a $500 bench warrant out. Apparently, the letter summoning me to jury duty never made it to my college apartment address. Neither did the summons for me to appear for my wrongs. Oops!

I'm a former pageant winner. And I get to relive those experiences each time I judge this or that, including the recent prestigious Payson Dairy Princess Pageant. No, I'm not kidding. World peace, y'all.

and finally . . .
So far, every time I have a kid I spend up to two months postpartum burping in the most outrageous way. My husband never ceases to be shocked with the length and breadth of these belches. Sorry to gross you all out. But hey, at least now you know me a little better.

The whole shy part explained me perfectly. Jared's always on my case because every once in while I feel the need to be around people but I don't have any people, so he lectures me on how I need to be less shy then I'd have people to be around. Also, I was born in Payson. SO...guess we have some stuff in common :)

I love your list of secrets! I have known you since what 1st grade and didn't know any of them. Although the cake thing isn't a big stretch. You are so artistic, I really love your designs. I have made a few wedding cakes in my day but none as fabulous as yours. Way to go. I never would have guessed you were shy either. Although with a brother like Joey I guess you don't have to go too far to find good company.

The one time I tried to make a cake with fondant I ended up with tears and the fondant ended up in the garbage. My amazement at your abilities never ceases!

yeah, it's definitely a pain, plus fondant tastes yuck, so you're not missing anything. :)
