Hey all!
At risk of boring you. . . I just get so excited when I get a chance to do something creative so
I'm reporting on projects.
I spent some spare time before Christmas sewing little girl ponchos.

Nice face, Malan.
Since it's been snowing like mad (we're talking 3 feet here in the valley) we spent Saturday in the age old family tradition of hookey bobbing. So much fun. (p.s. This is not us, we forgot our camera so this is just to give you the idea if you've never hookey-bobbed.)
Last week we had our New Year's Resolutions FHE. Malan resolved to "not grab things out of people's hands," "forgive people," "be a better sister," and "not drink so much juice and drink more water." No prompting there.
Jane resolved to "stop biting." Prompting there.
Caleb's perfect so he's going to be helping the rest of us keep our resolutions. Thanks hon.
I, Kate, have many resolutions. I want to be a more patient mom, a sweeter wife, and a generally more accomplished and happy person, among other things. I, too, want to take more action in my life. so today . . .
I spent naptime cold calling people in Michigan for tomorrow's Republican primary. Yikes! My heart was just pounding because I'm terrified of annoying people. (Probably due to being stuffed in sleeping bags and locked in the car by my big brother when I was annoying him. Love ya bro. :) It really wasn't fun, but definitely an interesting experience. (This applies to both cold calling and getting sleeping bag stuffed.) Caleb's away interviewing in Rochester, MN today, cross your fingers for us.

Kate, you are so talented. It all looked very cute. Loved your kiddos resolutions. Good luck on interviewing!!
Your projects are inspiring, I don't have anything extra in Florida so I have been going through project withdrawal. Way to go on the cold calling, I keep trying to talk myself into getting involved (go Mitt!) but always find excuses not to.
OH MY GOSH!!! Those skirts are to die for! When I finally have a little girl I'll have your number on speed dial for one of those little skirts! Great job on everything!
I love the ponchos! You are so creative!!!! I want to be like you someday. I admire your cold calling too! Way to go! I really admire a lot of things about Mitt. I heard him talking on C-span around the time Katelyn was born in 2006 and thought, Man I wish he would run for President. It's inspiring to see him in the primary's right now, I feel this motherly pride. So silly. But I do have extra motherly hormones right now.
Jane looks so BIG!! How did that girl grow up so fast? Darling projects and girls! You inspire me!
Looks like you have been very productive Kate! Well done! You are an inspiration to me. I think I need to get off the computer now and do SOMETHING.....
i might need to buy one of those little boy scarves off of ya... you're so productive and crafty! i'll have to check your new little crafty blog.
and good work on the cold calling.. he couldn't have done it without you. :) i've tried that before, and it does take guts cos you never know what you'll get on the other end, but it always gave me more courage to think that i'd never ever see or talk to these people again, probably.
how'd the interview go??
Your promotion of Romney would upset me were it in any other state but Michigan. As the Democrats have chosen to have nothing to do with Michigan in the primaries, forcing conservative nonsense down the throats of voters there does not bother me. Feel free to pass on GOP propaganda in Florida for the same reason as above, but do not move to other states lest you incur my wrath for twarthing the presidential run of Obama.
You have been warned.
Hope all is well with you all.
