La La Love

So every Valentine's growing up I would go through the box of valentine cards my dad made for my mom. They always had hand drawn bodies with pictures of our families' faces cut out and pasted onto them and they were always cute and hilarious. It was just one way dad showed he loved my mom, but it meant a lot to me to read those and feel secure that they would always be together. My mom would make cute little cross stitched valentines with sayings like "1+1=1" or would write him a sweet little cheesy poem.

Caleb and I decided we would have valentines "experiences," like going on special dates, but we still carry on the tradition of hand made cards. I hope, along with them seeing everyday that we love each other, that our kids will get warm fuzzies when they read our love notes to each other in the years to come.
