The beauty that is the simplicity of childhood. And to think I dread when the garbage man shows up to our house (also on Tuesday morning) because that usually means it's time to get out of bed. I should be more like Malan and Jane :)
I totally understand! Since we have been here, the simplest things bring such essence to the day. Our garbage man has to literally put the garbage in the truck like they used in Ut but don't anymore. Poor garbage man. Take care :)
My kids have always loved to watch the garbage truck come around too. What a cute way to document your little ones conversation! I may have to try this after seeing the cute transcription on Edith's blog too! By the way, your blog is one of my favorite reads, and I hardly ever comment... the garbage truck just really moved me :) Also, I loved that picture done by your friend Star. Thanks for the link.
I felt sad for my kids that they weren't growing up in the country like I did and don't get to see horses and cows and fields daily. But there are such fun things in the city! Garbage trucks, fire engines and trains! We have a train track about 150 yards from our house and we hear it's whistle and clacky-clack several times a day. So fun.
Yes every time a fire truck/ambulance siren goes by (every couple of hours) Katelyn runs screaming scary fire truck. Gotta love the Garbage Truck ordeals as well.

the best part about that post is that they are already in costume for the day.

Your girls are so cute! By the way, Jeff and I laughed a lot at the Palin-spoof reference in your comment on my decorations. Thanks!

That is so cute and funny. It is so fun to watch kids learn.
