Potty and Perspective

This morning I awoke to the sound of one sweet girl's pitter-pattering feet on their way to the bathroom. After a few moments I heard an enthusiastic, "Mom! I didn't pee on your stuff!" She knows just what to say to melt my heart!

But then as I lay there thinking, all I could feel was regret at how many times in the last few months I've been frustrated with this little girl on this subject of pottying, and how many times I've said, "Oh, I wish you wouldn't pee on stuff."

Then I thought how very little pee on stuff really matters. And how very much love and patience and perspective do. Here's to more love and patience and perspective. (And hopefully less pee on stuff. But if not...)
