New Baby, Old Threads

I have a love of old things. Old furniture, old table linens. Little old ladies.

So, when I was given a lovely little old fashioned baby blessing dress and bonnet, I knew they would be just perfect for our Emme.

They were.
She looked sweet. She is sweet. She may also be Amish.
Here is her blessing cake:

And here are her blessing feet:
Dear Family-we missed you being here.
Dear Friends-thanks for filling in.

In celebration of Emme, we drank this yesterday. We liked it. You may like it, too.

Kate, I wish we could have been there. We have done most of our baby blessings without family, and they are still so sweet.

Wow.. what a pretty dress! As you know, I too love old things. I find them charming. I want to know their stories and give them a new life and a new story. Old is grand. Ms Emme is so pretty, Kate. What tiny cute blessing feet she has! Those shoes look so delicate!

Pineapple slush!!!! I really enjoy Kate's Plates. I promise to let you know when I make something from said site. The first on my list is your sugar cookie recipe!

She looks so adorable.
I LOVE vintage baby clothes. Although, I also love baby clothes that stretch. Long live knit!
Sure wish we could have been there for the blessing.
Anika wants to know what flowers those are on the cake. I told her hydrangeas?

I love the photo of her pulling her dress up above her round tummy. She looks so content. Those shoes look so familiar: were they my Katie's? Wish we could have been there.
