Home Girls

The little ladies left behind at home have found a new love for each other...
 They've also found...
 a new love...
 for playing...
 under the sheets...
in their own little white fluffy world.
I've found a new love for the quiet, slow paced days at home with two happy sisters.

p.s I've also found that having only 2 kids around is like a superpower. I can do unimaginable feats of keeping the house clean for minutes at a time, and feats of grocery shopping.

A few things:

1. That white fluffy world is even more magical with the lovely lighting.

2. I feel like a time traveler! I'm sending this message to the future! (It says you published on Monday--which I'm sure you did in Pittsburgh--but I'm reading it on Sunday.)

3. Our due date is March 16th. (Right in the middle of half the Hales and Browns...)

I've kept PARTS of my house clean for minutes at a time. I was so sad to see summer end till the day before school when I realized, I'm going to have only one kid at home! Haven't really accomplished anything yet, but it could happen any day.

Welcome to my world Kate! Having only 5 older kids at home is a piece of cake! The house stays clean and they make their own food a lot. In fact we have to tell them an hour or two ahead what's for dinner so they will let us cook and hold off for a bit. 5 from 9 and 2 from 4 is all about the comparison. That hard insane time with the full numbers is so fleeting, and then it just gets easier...
LOVED the pics. So ethereal!

Absolutely stunning pictures. I'm impressed at your feats of cleaning and shopping... I'm still working on the cleaning... I'm with Sarah PARTS of my house for minutes at a time. :) Glad you're finding joy in the moments.

Today my last child enters pre-school! There are so many things I could accomplish while she's gone that I know I'm going to just waste it, paralyzed by possibilities.
That pose of Emme with her legs holding up the sheets looks like a ballet dancer--Cyd Charisse or something.

Haha! "feats of" - is that from something? Or just your funny brain. We've been listening to Jay O' Callahan and it reminds me of you and Joey when we were smaller. "It's a goodgame, Elizabeth - it's a goodgame!" The girls fave right now is Woe is Me Bones. I've just got Charlie in the mornings and it's so relaxed! Lovelies in the lovely sheets.

I ca't decide what is more beautiful.. their eyes or their hair. Both. What loves they are!

Incredible, dreamy pictures! I still remember days at home with my Mother before I ever started school. May your girls, too!

oh man. those are two really cute babies. i mean, REALLY cute. so, it tells me how hard 4 kids are if 2 kids seems easy. i'm still in the camp of 2 kids being hard and not getting anything done.
