Olivia Takes a Dive

I'm sure your kids, like mine, were influenced by the copious amounts of Olympic broadcast watching going on at home. During the first night of gymnastics, Jane did a front flip off the back of our couch, intending to land her bum on the seat cushion and instead overshot and landed tailbone first on the floor. Poor little thing walked around pretty gingerly the rest of the night. 

And here is Olivia, honing her obviously outstanding diving repertoire:

Platform climb to a tuck jump-

Half twist to a seat plop-

(Emme wants to have a go but realizes too late she's afraid of heights. Embarrassing.)

 Tuck position to a flying leap. . .fail.

 Second attempt-

 Good form, and. . .

 . . .nailed it.

 Good game, Olympics.
