Rock Friends

A lazy summer day project for bored sisters: making new friends. (Though Jane thought they looked disturbingly like shrunken heads and that instead of calling them friends we should set them out at Halloween.)

Also: our girls like to try to stump each other when riding in cars or otherwise stuck waiting somewhere. They ask questions like, "Ok. Guess who was the first president of the United States? George Washington or President Monson?" (tricky.)
Well I really think Olivia's recent quiz question to Jane summed up the state of affairs at our house right now quite nicely: "Ok Jane, guess who bites me more? Malan or Emme?"
So can you guess?
Indeed. Emme has become "2" with a terrible vengeance and it's trying (and beating) my patience like nobody's business. Pray for me, cause I really like Emme and she likes me and I want to keep it that way. Helps that when she's not being 2 she is absolutely the most wonderful, adorable thing.
I hope we'll pull through this with not too many more bite marks to show for it.

I do, I do! Maybe Emme could have a designated bite doll -- ew! That sounds like voodoo.

The ringlet in Emme's hair! Olivia's eyelashes! Jane's demeanor! What beauties. Jane can rest assured they're not shrunken heads based on the fact that no shrunken head was ever graced with such full lips as the rock friends.

Oh the biting! That one is so hard. We had that up to age 7 with some of our children whom we will not name! Good luck with that one! Ignore any advise about biting that ends, "and they never did it again." If that's the case they weren't real biters!! Mom says kids change just like adults, ever so gradually.

Kate, you are the cutest, most best mom ever. Seriously. I love the little things you do with your girls. I wish I was as awesome as you, even for one day. Love the rock friends, darling pics! Sorry about the biting- I have a friend who was having that issue and she started biting her boy back, letting him see how it felt! It sounds awful, but she said it worked! Good luck!
