Malan turned 9 on the 9th of October, her golden birthday! It was fall break, and so nice to get to have her home all day. Some memories from the day:
Breakfast in bed and getting lost in a new book from Grandma W. (She read the 2 Grandma Hale sent preemptively.)
The family spa party! This was all Malan's doing, and I so love being off the hook when it comes to planning parties. Malan asked everyone to wear something gold to the party in honor of her golden birthday, and of course Aunt Katie went above and beyond! So awesome.

This is one seriously incredible girl and we all love her so much! She is so super smart, responsible, kind and good, creative, ambitious and funny and gorgeous to boot. Happy Birthday Malan!

ha ha!!! I love these pictures! Oh, you do such a great job of handing the birthday planning over to your girls. I think that is so cool. And THEY do such a great job of planning their parties! I loved this night so much. Good memories. Who knew Lucy was such a spa junkie. She took advantage of every luxury the spa d'malan had to offer. And I LOVE Malan Wilson with all my heart. She is an amazing, AMAZING 9 year old girl. I'm so happy that she is leading this brood of cousins/siblings. She does a great job of it! Happy birthday indeed!

Happy, happy golden birthday to Malan!! I really loved being able to hang out with her when we visited. I'm so glad I got to see her all growed up and get to talk with her. She has some great gifts, that she uses, I might add. She planned a wonderful partay.
