If you're lucky, you've met Jane.
Then you know how refined, elegant, serious, contemplative, and poised she is.

Oh good gracious, we love this girl.
She makes friends with everyone she meets. These are her 2nd grade field trip buddies from her class.
She has become a voracious reader, so I see a lot of the top half of her face these days.
Over the summer, while visiting Utah and our dear families, Jane turned 8. We prepared her requested breakfast in bed (my old bed in my old room, in fact) and Malan made her a paper unicorn tray friend.
Later she got to blow out her cookie-cake candles surrounded by cousins. What a dream.

And on her 8th birthday, she was baptized and became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
What a beautiful and special day we had with this little lady. I want to remember the ear to ear smile on her face as she stepped out of the font and how she said, "I feel so happy!!" as I wrapped her in a warm towel. And the land speed record she set changing out of her wet clothes and getting back into the primary room. She's not lacking in enthusiasm. Or heart. My earlier thoughts on baptism here.
We love this girl so much. Really just deeply grateful this sweet, fun, bright, serious, poised, wild, tenderhearted dear is part of our family. Us for the win.

Oh yes - she definitely has heart!! I think Jane has a magic spell she casts on everyone to make them fall madly in love with her the minute they meet her. She's so spunky, raw, honest and just down right loveable. I was also on vacation visiting family when I turned 8. I got baptized in Alaska. It was very memorable. I'm glad she got to have so many people there to celebrate her and her decision. She is a very deep thinker and a spiritual girl. I see good things in her future. Love you Janey!

It was really fast! 7 minutes after the baptism began she was baptised and dressed and back in her seat! Loved being there.

To answer your question - we've been in Great Falls, MT for 2 months now. We are enjoying it so far, but it is a weird feeling knowing this could be our forever place. It makes me happy and sad. It stinks to be so far from my family in Florida. But it's nice to know we don't HAVE to start over again in a few years

I'm one of the Lucky ones! I know and love sweet Jane! She is so beautiful and serious and spontaneous and delightful. I will never forget how earnest she was in keeping me alive when we played Mafia at the Ranch. What an advocate...So funny!! a budding actress for sure! Her baptism was lovely and her enthusiasm was contagious. Love that Jane
What's not to love about Jane?!?! She is just so likable. So much life in one girl! I not-so-secretly hope Elsie has some of Jane in her. Your Jane is where I got Elsie's middle name. I especially love the rockin roller derby pics.
