Huntsville Fourth Heaven

If you've never been to that sweet cherry pie known as Huntsville, Utah for the Fourth of July, you may think you've enjoyed Independence Day, but you haven't. It is Small Town America summer sun celebration nostalgia in its finest form, and I love it with all my heart. So grateful for every single one of America's Birthdays that I've been able to spend here.

Malan got to march in the parade with her cousins Meredith and Chloe with the Huntsville Garden Club float, and my cute niece Hannah was spotted marching through with the Snowcrest Cheerleaders.

Emme, Olivia, Jane, and I watched the parade with the Songer Family on Jenny and Rex Harris's front lawn and then walked over to park to find more family and friends. We picked up cotton candy and a variety of deep fried food stuffs and hung out near the McKay boys' shaved ice booth while waiting for Grandma Michele to arrive with Caleb from the airport.
Oh man it was so nice to have Caleb back. After the morning at the park, we headed to the McKay's for lunch and swimming.
(Post edit from much later-when Caleb arrived I managed to wait like a whole 15 minutes before spilling the beans that we were pregnant with Oscar, and it was pretty awesome to be able to hug each other and enjoy our little secret while surrounded by all our loved ones.)

We missed him a little bit.  Later in the afternoon we headed back to the park for the hypnotist and some other performances, and to claim our spot for fireworks. Jane is listening to the National Anthem at the flag lowering ceremony.
We gave each of the girls some cash to spend at the park and Jane waited all day before deciding on a ride in the gyroscope and a monkey in a palm tree balloon hat.
The Huntsville fireworks are always awesome, and we have the hookup big time in being able to walk back to Wendy's house afterward to hang out while the hour long line of cars makes its way out of town. Olivia passed out almost immediately on Wendy's living room floor before we headed out to the back porch for sparklers, and Emme followed soon after.
Heaven on Earth, I tell you. What a perfect day.
