Wish List

I am lucky enough to have a sister nearby who hires me for five hours each week to work at her house.  It's handy because Jane can nap there while I work and Malan gets to play with her cousins as well. I paint or clean or build what my sister wants me to and I get to use my earnings for my little shop or things on my wish list.

Today my wish list item #1 came! I've been wanting photoshop for a while and found a  deal on elements 6.0 on amazon last week that I couldn't pass up. I just loaded it on my laptop and messed around for a few minutes. I have a loooot to learn. Really excited to get some free actions and start really touching up the hundreds of pictures I have waiting for a makeover. Hooray! Here are a few quick easy options that make quite a difference:

OriginalBrightenedSepia
Desaturated, kinda gives a nostalgic look

Should be hours of fun for me late at night when everyone else is asleep here. Heh heh.

I am so jealous! When I was at WSU you could get the latest edition for $100 (student version-meaning copyright-wise, you can't use it professionally). It was still too much for my meager $50/month wages. Someday...

PS. I LOVE your bow clip. My friend makes some nearly identical but rather than buttons in the middle, she uses decorative brads. I totally love how soft the button makes it though. Beautiful!!! Oh and I linked your etsy shop but it doesn't look like anything is there yet...
Sorry this post is so long.

You are such a quick study, I am excited to see your photo creations! Thank you so much for the darling flower clip! Such professional packaging too, you're an etsy natural! I love mango blossom, it sounds so fresh and fun! I will buy stuff from you when you open shop!

I've also been waiting for a great deal on Photoshop. Thanks for the tip! I have a friend that does amazing scrapbook pages using photoshop and purchasing the digital scrapbook stuff online. For ideas, her link is Tara and Jon on my blog AND... thank you for the cute card... it made me smile today!
