We'll be heading West for Christmas, so we're hoping to enjoy as much of the season as we can in our own little home before we go.
Here are some of our preparations:
Malan's snowman, Jane's Christmas terrarium, and our tiny snowy forest-
Sparkly stuff-
Snowflakes (Caleb had an undiscovered talent) etc.-
Wooly things-
And a 12 minute project: I had a yucky old faded autumn wreath from years ago and gave it a little spray paint and glitter facelift.
If you've made it through all these photos, I have a little treat for you, a "best moment of the holidays so far" moment:

As Caleb was walking out of his shift at the girls' school holiday store, a door down the hall slammed open and a young fellow waddle-ran out, double-arm-crotch-hold in place, panic faced, yelling ahhhhhhh!!!! the whole way to the nearest potty.
My Christmas wish is that he made it in time, and that next time he plans ahead.
Merry merry preparations to you!
Ghosts of a Christmas passed here.

niiiice. Poor little guy. haha.
We're so excited to see you when you come out west!
I love the white wreath against your red door. And all your other decos.
Can I just say you are lovely? Every post of yours is just that. lovely.
If you came by our place one of the nights or days you are in town I would consider myself super lucky! We could have a party you know. :) We really, truly could. :)
ha ha, that was me, becca. :) I love that you got to see Zach's deer on our cabin wall.
Do you fully understand that you make me laugh out loud. Like the kind of laugh that my husband asks what I'm reading or what is so funny? You paint the best pictures.
I love home made snowglobes and one day I'll be making those.
You also make your house so warm for each holiday. I love your ideas and it always gives me inspiration!
I hope your entire December is lovely, memorable and just as funny as this post.
Love,
R~
My life has been changed. Never before have I thought of cutting Christmas tree shapes in a snowflake. Kudos to Caleb.
Malan took one of my snowflakes to show her friends at school. One of my proudest moments ever. I'm glad that was Becca and not Zach. I was feeling a little creeped out.
How delightful this post is. Makes me smile in all sorts of ways. How generous of you to save a Christmas wish for the little fellow. :)
Your house is looking very festive. x
