The day after Thanksgiving is the day for our annual Christmas tree hunt. One of my favorite days of the year! We coerced Katie and Joey into getting a live tree with us, and Juli also came along. I know we could save money by just investing in a fake tree to put up every year, but I just love this tradition so much. I would love to have a Christmas tree farm of our own, wherever we end up.
After getting our tree home, we turned on the Christmas tunes and got 'er all lit up and purdy.
'Tis the season! I hope it's a merry one for you.

I hope we can have a real tree someday! That looks gorgeous.
Was that at Purdy Farms? So beautiful and a humoungous tree. I'm going to try to decorate more this year, the boys love it so much.
Wow, you guys are wearing t-shirts. It's warmer than usual here, too.
It looks beautiful! The best part is that you get to cut down your own tree. That means for sure it's fresh--we've had some trees before that died a week after we bought them.
I'm trying to talk Ethan into going to a farm to cut one down. We have our fake one up, but since we're in a place where we could actually cut one, I think it would be worth it to have another one! :) Looks like a perfect way to spend the day!
Love! What a great tradition! Keep it going strong!
I love the pic of your tree towering up towards the sky with Caleb at the base starting to cut it down.
Very nice! We went and cut a tree down, too. It's been up for over a week and has one red bulb on it. I'm just so very lazy and pregnant right now. Actually, we do have a fake one up in the loft that the kids decorated and the lights are on a timer to come on every night. But that, too, pales in comparison with the chicken coop. Yep, the coop has colored lights and icicle lights, on a timer that is now hardwired with electricity from the house (with buried cable and all). I guess I should blog. Love your big tall tree!
